Gauge launches new UK & Ireland websites

Today, Gauge a social enterprise business based in Belfast re-launches its new website www.gaugeni.co.uk for NI/UK organisations and in tandem launches www.gaugeireland.ie for organisations in Ireland as a valuable resource portal to measure the social, economic and environmental impacts of their work.

Gauge are part of the NØW Group and their profits provide opportunitiesfor people with learning difficulties to get the jobthey want and keep it. Gauge works across the UK and Ireland and has seen an increasing demand for its products as a result of the need to measure impact in the current climate of a deep recession across both countries and the austerity measures that have seen a radical shake-up in public sector expenditure. The need to measure the value created for every pound and euro invested in organisations is increasingly becoming the norm when evaluating the impacts and sustainability of programmes and initiatives across the public, private, third and philanthropic sectors.

Gauge have been working with organisations originally within the Third Sector across the UK and Ireland including community, voluntary and social enterprise organisations but increasingly larger household charities are coming to Gauge for its advice and support to begin the journey of measuring their impact and quantifying the social and economic value generated for funders, stakeholders, beneficiaries and society at large.

Equally, private sector organisations are increasingly turning to measuring the value and impacts of their Corporate Social Responsibility agendas with increasing attention to the social and financial value created for communities and shareholders as part of their CSR plans and engagement strategy.

For the public sector, investments and appraisals in areas of procurement and commissioning require a combination of social, economic and environmental impact analyses coupled with legislative requirements.  Gauge are focused on measuring the social outcomes, benefits and clauses as a result of programme investment in health, social care, infrastructure, regeneration, education plus a plethora of public policy fields.  In the philanthropic world, Gauge have been working with Mount Street Trust (Dublin) and The Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland in measuring the impact of their investments in community and voluntary organisations on a number of levels.  Gauge are actively involved in the Social Finance sector and keen to promote the benefits of marrying the financial and social returns investors can incorporate into measuring their financial investments across the UK and Ireland.
